Newborn sessions hold a special piece of my heart. Our babies grow so quickly, the newborn phase especially is fleeting. I like to capture these sweet little babes before they are two weeks old, if they go full term. We of course can wait longer if premature. I see most of my babies at my in home studio. I provide all of the props (wraps, baskets, furs) so that mom and dad don't have to worry about bringing anything. Everything is set up and ready to go upon arrival. I always joke that you can just bring your baby in a diaper and we are good to go. I also offer in-home lifestyle newborn sessions. These sessions are done in the comfort of your home. Less about props and more about capturing you with your new little one in your everyday element. I focus more on raw details and emotion during these life-style sessions.

The answers to your questions
When should I book my newborn session?
It is never too early to book! Ideally I like to see my babies before they are two weeks old. To ensure that I leave room in my calendar for you, please contact at least a month prior to your due date, but earlier is better to get you on my due date calendar. Then once baby makes their arrival, we will schedule our appointment.
How can I prepare my infant for a session?
I recommend feeding baby as close to your leave time or my arrival time as possible. We want baby to be nice and sleepy. However, I fully expect baby to have to be fed and changed during the session. We have to remember that we are working with newborns and sometimes we are on their schedules.
How long does the session take?
The majority of my newborn sessions are between an hour and a half to two hours. I never schedule back to back newborn sessions incase it does take longer. Some babies might require a longer time to calm down, or need to eat more frequently and that is perfectly fine.
**NYS Sales Tax will be added to the total amount on your invoice. Deposit is not required to book, however full payment will be due at your session. Also, a signed contract will be required, which I will send at the time of booking. Thank you! I look forward to working with you!
